Best Focus Apps for Baccalauréat Revision in France

· Updated · FocusComet

Revising for the bac should not mean studying between videos. Keep the past papers, notes and useful tools. Remove the apps that keep deciding when your study session ends.

Past papers first, timer second

Baccalauréat is the French school-leaving examination and qualification. Choose an official paper and a specific output: a written response, a plan or a set of questions. Check the ministry’s current resources for your pathway and session. An older paper is not proof that the format is unchanged.

Pomodoro helps begin revision you have been avoiding. For a bac blanc—a practice examination—or another realistic timed exercise, follow the paper’s duration rather than interrupting it every 25 minutes. For Grand oral preparation, separate outlining, speaking aloud and reviewing the recording.

Compare apps without mixing their jobs

FocusComet suits temporary removal of distracting apps from view. AppBlock and Stay Focused are worth comparing for detailed rules. Focus To-Do and Engross focus more on tasks and timing. Choose the tool that solves what actually breaks the session, not the one with the most impressive feature list.

International students in France

If you are an international university student in France, your assessment may be a course exam, dissertation, presentation or project—not the bac. Follow the module’s instructions and permitted resources. Reuse the same profiles for writing, timed practice and speaking, with the correct course materials left available.

Your bac calendar, phone included

The French written exam in première, philosophy, the spécialité papers and the grand oral are now concentrated in June. That gives the whole year a single target, so plan your phone around it.

Autumn to spring: schedule a daily session for homework and fiches. Bacs blancs: sit each one at real timing in one continuous session while Vanish Mode clears Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat off your screens. May and June: use Allow-only on revision days, keeping just Pronote, your notes and calls, and use Hard lock the evening before philosophy.
